On Saturday, 28th April 2012, IDP (International Development Program) had sincerely come to our small campus , The University of Cordova Indonesia, to share very useful information about Australia scholarship we can apply. The scholarships are provided by DIKTI and Australia government itself. And they are available for Indonesian students who want to get their master degree and Ph.D.
According to Mr. Mulyono Latief, the representative of IDP, Australia scholarship is Australia government program to help Indonesia improve its human resource. As we know, Indonesia and Australia have been good partner in a long time in every field of life, including education. Therefore, this part of relation is really meaningful for both of them in the future.
Studying in Australia is a very good opportunity we should get, especially for those who are involved in English education. Australian who have English background in their life will help to strenghten our English. Language is habitual action. We can master in using and understanding the language if we are accustomed to listen and speak the language. Therefore, living life in Australia, as long as we study there, will make us be able to use English everyday with the native speakers around us.
Another good news came when Mr. Latief said that English teachers from eastern provinces of Indonesia, like NTB, NTT, and Papua, will come first in line. It means that we will have big chance to get the scholarship than the other representatives of other provinces. It is because eastern provinces of Indonesia still need better human resources to improve the quality of their young generations and to develop the prosperity of themselves.
